Shipping & Returns Questions


Good Fortunes gourmet gifts are made to order to ensure freshness and carefully packaged so they arrive in perfect condition.  To further ensure your gourmet gift is as fresh as possible, we use UPS for all of our deliveries.

Shipments to  California, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas must ship via Air (3rd Day, 2nd Day or Next Day).  For Shipments to Alaska or Hawaii there is an additional charge of $15 PLUS they must ship 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air.

for you to determine your method of shipping
based on when you need your package to arrive.



Because temperatures vary across the country,
we may choose not to ship over the weekend
in order to ensure premium quality upon arrival. 

For this reason,
we cannot guarantee Monday deliveries
.




Shipping Deadlines

We ship via UPS 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air and Ground (to some areas) Monday - Wednesday during warm weather shipping (May - October) and may ship on Thursday and Friday during cooler months.  Next Day Air delivers by 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., depending on location.  Any order placed before 2 p.m. EST (11 a.m. PST), can be shipped the same day if desired (it will not arrive on that same day, though).

If you do not put down a Future Deliver Date, we will ship your package out the same day if ordered before the cut-off time or it will ship the next possible business day which may be Monday if you missed the cut-off on Wednesday.

REMEMBER:  Good Fortunes DOES NOT ship on Saturday or Sunday.  (We like to spend with our families!!)

Saturday Deliveries

If you need a Saturday delivery , there will be an additional $15 charge to the shipping fees.  Please call our Cookie Counselor at (800) 644-9474 in order to arrange Saturday shipping.


Shipping Destinations

We ship to the 48 Continental States, Alaska and Hawaii.  For shipment to Alaska and Hawaii locations, an additional $15 charge will apply. 

We cannot ship to a P.O. Box nor to APO/FPO addresses.



Delivery Locations

We suggest shipping to a location where you know somebody will be available to receive the package, for example, the recipient's workplace.  At the discretion of the driver, UPS may leave gifts at a destination in which no one is home.  But keep in mind, our gifts are perishable and shouldn't be exposed to the elements for too long, especially in warm or freezing weather conditions.


Shipping Delays

Though UPS is an extremely reliable shipping agent, there are times when even they are unable to provide on-time delivery, such as during extreme weather situations, national emergencies, etc.  We ask for your patience during these times and promise to get your gift to its destination as soon as possible.


Warm Weather Shipping - MAY THROUGH OCTOBER

During the summer months, we ship our products in specially designed cartons and ice packs.  But chocolate does melt and therefore, we may require that you ship all chocolate products from May through October - OVERNIGHT!  We do require 2nd Day Air during these months and will only ship GROUND to Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas!
  


During warm weather months,
we recommend our Caramel Toffee products
because they won't melt.
 
Good Fortunes cannot be responsible for damages if you or the recipient of a gift are not present at the time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package.  Additionally, Good Fortunes cannot be responsible for heat damage if you choose an inappropriate shipping method of a chocolate product and it ships via the method you selected.


Shipping Change of Address

"OOPS! I gave you a Wrong Address or Apt. No.!"

If a package has not left our facility and we are able to correct an address before the package ships, it's our pleasure to do so if we are able.  If your package has already shipped and you want to correct an address in transit, our carrier assesses a $11.00 fee for each incorrect or incomplete address.  We reserve the right to bill you for this correction fee, so please make sure the information you provide us with is correct and accurate.



Returns

Good Fortunes does not accept returns of perishable food products.  However, if there is something wrong with your order or delivery, please contact us immediately.
